This was such a wonderful read! Also jogged my memory that from approx 1st-4th grade I told ppl that my dream job was “a scientist who studies mountain lions and tries to save them.” 🥲 Then I struggled with science and math so much that I pivoted to “theater arts teacher” because I thought a science-based job would be tooo hard and above my head. Thank you Sabrina for “putting the art cheese around the science pill” as Maddy so perfectly put it! 🐾
holy carp - Sabrina, if you're reading this, I am also mixed race, queer, and a huge purveyor of sea creature facts. And a Tamora Pierce stan. Manatees regulate their buoyancy by farting.
